Hotel due to it's age not particularly 'less able' friendly but we were offered a ground floor room as an alternative, (our choice to refuse). Read less

Dislikes:
Carpets threadbare in places. The public rooms need a lick of paint and refresh.

5 of us spent one night here whilst training for a charity walk. Ater walking all day in appalling weather and mud it was lovely to reach the Bent Arms. 3 of us were in the Cottage. Not smart and the carpet and furnishings are old but it was quaint, spotlessly clean, (until we got there), and had ample hot radiators to dry out our sodden gear. Having 3 rooms was lovely. Nice sheets and towels, plenty of hot water. Good food and friendly staff. Although not luxurious that would have been a disadvantage given our muddy bedraggled state.
Dislikes:
The weather! It was howling a gale all night. A lamp by the bed in the sitting room would have been nice.

The next day we were looked after well as we used the lounge and amenities before catching our flight home early evening. The staff were so courteous and friendly that I would recommend the Bent Arms to anyone who did not require a5starhotel. Read less
